OUR STORY

Meet US

Hey there! I'm Jess Innes, the founder and head trainer of First Class First Aid.

As a former Army Medic with years of experience in hospitals and paramedic settings, I’ve seen firsthand how important quality first aid training is in real-world emergencies. But when I looked around at the training options out there, I realised something was missing.

Too many courses were focused on just ticking boxes and passing tests, rather than building real, practical skills. I knew there had to be a better way – and that’s how First Class First Aid was born.

With my background as an Army Medic and a Diploma in Paramedic Practice, Nursing, and Cert IV in Training & Assessment, I teamed up with my co-founder Huxsten to create a training experience that’s not just informative, but transformative.

Together, we have built a company that reflects our shared values of excellence, practicality, and empowerment. With our combined expertise and passion, we have established First Class First Aid as a leader in the industry, known for its commitment to quality and real-world relevance.

We don’t just want you to know first aid – we want you to embody the skills and confidence to save lives in any situation.

In a crisis, you need more than a certificate. You need the confidence and skills that comes from quality training. That's where we excel!

A Vision for a Safer Future

Practical Training

"I did CPR once to a bike rider who collapsed on the street”

When one of our students shared this story, it hit us hard. Imagine being the only one in a crowd of bystanders with the skills and courage to step up and save a life. That’s the kind of impact we want First Class First Aid to have.

Our vision is to create a world where everyone has the knowledge and confidence to be an everyday hero. We don’t just want you to pass a test – we want you to be ready for anything.

Through our realistic simulations, guided practice, and expert feedback, we’ll help you build the muscle memory and mental resilience to act fast when it counts. Because in an emergency, every second matters.

“I wanted to help, but didn’t have a First Aid kit”

We’ve all been there – wanting to help but feeling unprepared. That’s why we’re passionate about not just training, but equipping. As part of our commitment to comprehensive preparedness, we offer top-quality first aid kits and supplies, plus free audits and restocking services for our clients.

With First Class First Aid, you’ll never have to worry about being caught off-guard. We’ve got your back, so you can focus on what matters most – saving lives.

Preparedness is power. We're your partner.

Our collaborations make a difference

We believe in the power of collaboration, which is why we've partnered with incredible organisations to amplify our impact and support our communities. Through these partnerships, we're providing life-changing training to at-risk youth, supporting veteran mental health, and diverting surplus medical supplies to those in need.

Whether you're a business owner, an individual, or a fellow changemaker – we're here for you.

Save Our Supplies

Founded by Claire Lane, this non for profit charity collects medical supplies that have expired or are unserviceable for technical reasons, however are still perfectly good and repurposes them through Rotary to developing countries in need.

We are very lucky to have met Claire, who is keen to get as many people on board as possible! To contribute to her cause, using our reusable mailers (or by giving us) any older supplies that you are replacing, we are able to collect them to give to SOS to be rehomed to countries such as Papua New Guinea or Timor-Leste.

If you have any stores or are looking for a way to contribute, you can get in touch with SOS at https://www.saveoursupplies.com.au/ or email them at [email protected]

Bray Park - Strathpine RSL Sub Branch Inc.

We are incredibly humbled to be able to collaborate with the wonderful ladies and gentleman of Bray Park – Strathpine RSL Sub Branch. Being members of the sub branch has meant that not only can we support the wider veteran community, but they have supported us by providing us a space to host our public courses.

This branch provides support services to over 150 veterans and their families. If you wish to get in touch with them, their email is [email protected].

They provide:

  • Welfare services

  • Pension assistance

  • DVA advocacy

And are a volunteer run sub branch.

We cannot thank them enough for how much support in starting our business they have given.
